Graphics

For this task we did a series of drawings of peoples faces on our table. This task was helpful for me as we only had a short time to complete each one, however this taught me that the less time you have the better you work as you don't have time to think about it.

For our drawings we did one with our eyes shut, one holding our pen in our mouth, one with continuous line and not looking at the paper and one in our opposite hand. My best drawing was with my opposite hand, however my other images are abstract.

This was the wall of the collection of the class.

For this task we had to draw someones ear on an A1 sheet of paper. I struggles with this task as I find drawing body parts difficult however I got the main shape of the ear. I used charcoal so that I could get thin and thick strokes on my paper and smudge the lines to make them look more realistic.

For this task we had to create different faces, using a collection of newspaper cuttings from magazines/newspapers ect. I enjoyed this task as I like collage and some of the faces looked almost realistic. I feel my page was successful as I did a lot of different types of faces and used different expressions.

We then had to section a part of our work to recreate. I chose two different images from my collage as they both caught my eye as they looked realistic, as well as unique and obscure. I also chose images that had big eyes in them as I like drawing eyes and they caught my attention.

I chose this image to recreate.

This was my response. I created this with felt tip and water, to create a watercolour effect. The colours are bolder than the original colours to make the image more POP ART like. This was successful I think and it catches the eye.

  1. I like the layout of the post and how you use pictures to do the talking.
