Past memories and present day - my visual recordings ...

Describe your memory through drawing it with symbols not words.
Here I used my memory of passing my driving test, so I attempted to draw a car and some balloons to represent celebration.

Write your past or present possession through a word and font that represents it.
Here I chose my colourful decopatch love heart to describe. I used uneven font and patterns to represent my object.

Describe your possession with a facial expression.
For this possession I chose a photo of me and my closest friends. I tried to make my facial expression funny as I always laugh at the photo when I see it.

This task was to create wrapping paper with symbols and colours to represent another possession.
I drew flowers of different sizes and colours to represent my perfume that I always wear. The flowers represent the smell of the perfume and the colour represents my personality.

My object wrapped up in the paper.

Hard at work!

Hard at work!

My bag so far that I have to bury.

This was a possession that I had to study for 1 minute and then draw with my eyes closed.

This was my drawing of my possession with my eyes shut.

Here I had to describe my item with 50 different words,  fonts,  sizes and directions.
Here I chose my ice skating boot to describe with words, however I did not manage to complete 50 words.

This task was to create an advert, advertising one of our possessions.
For this possession I used photos that I had. To advertise the photos I create a campaign on how to turn your photos into possessions such as a mug, keyring or jigsaw.

Overall I enjoyed the tasks that we had to do with our 10 past and present possessions as it opened my eyes as to how many different ways there were of recording different objects. It also highlighted to me what I enjoyed and struggled with. Some of my recordings were more successful than others, such as my typography and some of my recordings were not as successful, such as the drawing with my eyes shut. I learnt that I can improve in my planning and time management as some of the tasks were fast paced and showed me that I needed to keep my ideas simple but effective and work quickly.

  1. I really like how you have used different ways to display your experience through the day such as text, images and film
