FMP - Jewellery Brand - Creative Making Week

Creative Making Week

CMW disrupted my plan a little as over Easter I had started my research and wanted to continue exploring other brands, however I did enjoy working with the LBM class as we could discuss each others projects and gain ideas from each other. I did struggle on this week coming up with something as we had so little time, and my group misunderstood the concept of making lots of different things, we just stuck to one idea.

We wanted to create something that linked in with all of our projects. The task was hard as we had limited equipment such as a sock, torch, string, buttons, sponge, blutak, book, elastic bands, paper clips, map, masking tape, ball, plastic bottle and a box. My FMP was about jewellery branding and the other girls we incorporating photography and film into their projects. We were extremely stuck on ideas but decided to create jewellery out of the materials that we had and create a photo shoot so that it linked into everyones projects. This went well as we researched different countries and cultures that we could link our designs to.

Here we explored different ideas and jewellery that we could make.

The jewellery that we found was quite chunky and colourful so we tried to incorporate this in our designs. Our whole shoot used different jewellery for different parts of the body and we went onto cloths also to give the whole look of recycled materials. We also researched items that had been made with the materials that we were given to see what worked and what looked good.
